Different ground calls for different thinking. Not every forest is asking for the same cutting prescription. With this being said, Northwoods Forestry manages for the health of the forest first. Taking the sick, lame and lazy, while keeping the landowners wants and needs at the top of the list.

This is what makes or breaks smaller private land loggers...the "clean up". Landowners want to make a buck or two but above all they want to be able to enjoy their forest land afterwards. Northwoods Forestry takes pride in doing a good job and when we are done you will find ground you never knew you had...and you will be able to enjoy your forest for years to come.
SITE PREPARATION
& ROAD BUILDING
There is something about logging that always lends itself to other projects. Roads, driveways and even house sites. Northwoods Forestry is a logging company but we know how to lay in roads and pull stumps for building site preparation. So if you do choose us for timber management, make sure to let us know what your plans are so we can help you out while our equipment is on site.
"Luke and team did a great job clearing a firebreak around our homeland selective logging. He also identified some trees that may have problems and removed them. When finished they smoothed out the disturbed areas and stacked all the slash for burning later. He was very sensitive to our concerns and worked to minimize disruption. Highly recommend Northwoods Forestry."
